Tavistock

The Science of Mass Manipulation through Crisis Creation: An Introduction to the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations. In this video, we take a look at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, which is described in this video as the nerve center for the global manipulation of human consciousness. Established in 1921 by the Royal Institute for International Affairs (RIIA), Tavistock has grown into one of the world's biggest and most influential think tanks, working through governments, NGOs, the media, transnational corporations and major universities to manipulate the population of the world into accepting a one world collectivist state.

Hitler and the Negro

Photo of J.A. Rogers

By J. A. Rogers

Adolph Hitler inspired no doubt by the valorous conduct of the Negro in the last World War declares in Mein Kampf that Negroes are “half-apes.”

This, however, is far from being the opinion of pre-Hitler Germany if one is to judge by the various monuments and pictures of Negroes in German museums and other public places.

Foremost of these pictures and monuments are those of St. Maurice (or St. Mautritus) leading Catholic saint of Germany, who is invariably depicted in Germany as a Negro of the finest type. St. Maurice is the patron saint of the city of Cobourg and he appears in the city’s coat-of-arms. His picture, by Grunewald, hangs in the Alte-Pinokathek, Southern Germany’s largest museum. (At least I saw it there as late as 1934.) Another painting of St. Maurice by Hans Baldung is, if I remember rightly, in the Dresden Museum. There is also a monument of him in armor in the Cathedral of Magdeburg.

In almost every German art gallery are pictures by great artist of “The Adoration of Magi,” one of who is invariably depicted as a Negro. The most celebrated shrine in Germany is that of the Black Virgin in Alt-Oetting, Baravaria. There and there especially in Southern Germany and in what was once Austria are shrines of Black Madonnas. The blackness of these, be it noted is not due to age as the lace and some of the other decorations of these statues are still nearly white. Only the face is black.

On the most important bridge over the Spree at the south end of the Unter den Linden near the Berlin Cathedral in the very center of the north side of the bridge is a monument no less than eight feet high of a Negro. In the park of the royal palace at San Souci, Potsdam, favorite residence of the last Kaiser are several statutes of Negroes, who were the favorites of the Prussian rulers.

In the state pictures of Kaiser Wilhelm I, between the years 1857 and 1870 appears a Negro as a German officer. “This Henri Noel an unmixed Negro brought by Rohls from Central Africa, whom Wilhelm I, adopted as his own son. I have given further details in “The 100 Amazing Facts About the Negro.”

Hitler is a native of Austria and there, too, St. Maurice and the Black Virgin are highly revered. In the Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna are the portraits of Angelo Soliman and his daughter and grandson, Baron Edward von Feuchtersleben.
Angelo Soliman was a Negro ex-slave who became a tutor of royalty, and the friend and companion of Joseph II, ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. In the Vienna Museum is another piece of priceless Negro art: that of the Venus of Willendorf, oldest known representation of a human being executed by a Negro artist, about 10,000 or 15,000 B. C.

Several other art treasures in which Negro figure could be cited. It is interesting to know what Hitler and his brown shirted reformers have done about these Negro monuments, and how they reconcile them with their statement that the Negro is a “half-ape,” and the Negro professional man a monstrosity. Perhaps these pictures and monuments have been removed or destroyed; only the coming peace will tell.

HEBREWISMS OF WEST AFRICA: From Nile to Niger with the Jews

A Review of Joseph J. Williams' 1931 anthropological work by Israelite Heritage

Editor's Note: Other sources are quoted as well to validate the presence of Judaism in West Africa for hundreds and even thousands of years.

It's a historical fact that the mass majority of captive slaves brought of captive slaves brought to the Americas, came from West Africa, although some were brought from East Africa, they were the minority. The west African tribal nations that our forefathers were taken from, have many ancient Hebrew customs in their culture. The KAFFIR, BO, GREBO, MARIBUCK, MAVUMBA, AKRA, FANTI, AKIN, YORUBA, KONGO, AND ASHANTI. Just to name a few of the many sub-Saharan nations that engage in ancient Israelite rituals.

Such rituals include:
CIRCUMCISION,
THE DIVISION OF THEIR TRIBES INTO TWELVE,
BLOOD SPRINKLING UPON THEIR ALTARS AND DOOR POSTS,
MARRYING OF THEIR BROTHER'S WIFE AFTER DEATH,
SEPARATION AND PURIFICATION AFTER CHILD BIRTH,
UNCLEANNESS DURING CHILD BIRTH,
UNCLEANNESS DURING MENSTRUATION
NEW MOON CELEBRATIONS.
Plus many more.

Among the ASHANTI tribe the priesthood is hereditary to a specific family such a family has little or no possessions, is exempt from all taxes, supplied with food and advises the king. Compare this with the Levities of ancient Israel and you will see that both are exactly the same.

The name ASHANTI has Hebrew origins, the "TI" at the end means race of or people of, Ashan was the name of a city located in southern Israel Judah (Joshua 15:42 - 19:7 / 1st chronicles 4:32 - 6:59).

The word Ashan in Hebrew means smoke city / burning city. ASHANTI means the people of Ashan or the people of the smoke city, This was the reference to the city of Ashan after the Romans destroyed it in 70 C.E.

In a very informative book entitled HEBREWISMS OF WEST AFRICA By Joseph J Williams. He gives detailed descriptions of the Hebrew customs in many of the west African tribes. These were the tribes who were the main suppliers of slaves during the slave trade. And these are the tribes that the majority of Hebrews in the West are descendant from. I will present a few excerpts from his book, and this should further convince you of who the children of Israel are.

NOTE: I must say here that this book was written in the 1930's and the author who is white quotes some "racist" authors, from as far back as the 1700's. He also makes some misguided comments himself, as he tries to find out how so much Hebrew culture and lifestyle, got to West Africa. He would have known the answer to that had he known the prophecies. But nonetheless there is still A LOT OF useful information contained in HIS book.

PAGE 22 In the first place, many Hebrewisms were discovered in the ASHANTI tribal customs. Then, several ASHANTI words were found to have a striking resemblance to those of equivalent Hebrew meaning. finally the supreme being of the ASHANTI gave a strong indication of being the "Yahweh" (YHWH) of the "Old Testament".

PAGE 23, It was indeed surprising how many HEBREWISMS, either real or at least apparent, were to be found among the unIslamised tribes.

PAGE 52 In both ASHANTI and Hebrew the traditional vowel sound is equally important for the true signification of words.

PAGE 56, Thus in conjugation of the verb the ASHANTI prefix the personal pronouns to the verb stem, the same as it is found in the imperfect of Hebrew.

PAGE 61, One cannot help being impressed by the number of customs and practices there described that find their counter part among the ancient Hebrews. Thus, for example the Mosaic law of intra-tribal-marriages, which was devised expressly to preserve the inheritance of the daughters in the tribe and family of their father (NUMBERS 36:12) finds a close verification among the ASHANTI of today. And the cross-cousin marriages, so characteristic of the latter, are strictly similar to that of the daughter of salphadd who wedded the sons of their uncle by their father (NUMBERS 36:2). Again the preserving of certain names in a family is as much sought after by the ASHANTI as it was of old among the Hebrews, as shown in the case of naming of John the Baptist when the objection was made, "there is none of your Kindred that is called by this name" (Luke 1:61).

PAGE 62, So also the remarkable simplicity of the ASHANTI marriage and the distinctive part that wine plays in the ceremonial reminds one of the ancient Hebrews.

PAGE 63, Not only in the marriage ceremony itself but also in after marriage customs there is a strange similarity between the ASHANTI and the Hebrews. Thus, for example, for 8 days after the birth of a child the ASHANTI "mother is considered as unclean". It is only on the 8th day, at the Ntetea that the child receives its personal name, and on the 40th day a still further ceremony has to be observe. In all this we are certainly reminded of Hebrew customs. Further, the ASHANTI women at the menstrual period, even to the retirement to the bara hut, read like a page borrowed from the book of Leviticus, (15:19-20). And the system of ASHANTI ablution to prevent legal uncleanness constantly brings to mind similar practices which were common among Hebrews.

PAGE 66, Thus far, however, we have shown certain cultural elements common to the ASHANTI and the ancient Hebrews, such as the ob cult, religious dances, use of "Amen", vowel value, patriarchal system, parallel symbolism of Authority in "stool" and "chair", endogamy, cross-cousin marriages, familiar names, exogamy, simplicity of marriage rite and the part wine plays in the ceremony, uncleanness after child birth, purification ceremony, Menstrual seclusion. and ceremonial ablutions; besides ASHANTI loan words of apparent Hebrew origin.

PAGE 70, For they ascribe to God the attributes of omnipresence, omniscience, and Invisibility, besides which they believe that he governs all things by providence. By reason god is invisible, they say it would be absurd to make any corporeal representation of him. Wherefore they have such multitude of Images of their Idol gods which they take to be subordinate deities to the supreme God.

PAGE 72, In the very fact that the Hebrews, despite their service of the true god frequently relapsed into idolatry. Captain Rattray, finds a parallelism with the ASHANTI, where, as Bosman noted, one finds a belief in a supreme being side by side with multitudes of their idol Gods.

PAGE 78, And there is a common saying among the ASHANTI: no priest may look upon the face of his God and live which sounds remarkably like an echo of "Yahweh's" (YHWH) warning to Moses at Mount Sinai "Thou canst see my face for man shall not see me and live".

PAGE 80, The supreme being of the ASHANTI is identical with the God of the Christians, the Yahweh of the old testament: and further that their tribal worship is strangely parallel to that of the divided worship that existed in Jerusalem immediately prior to the Babylonian exile, as we will see later in more detail.

PAGE 82, The breastplate on the central figure, the Herald (Osene), who is called by Stanley the Town-Crier, is strikingly similar to the breast plate of the High Priest among the Ancient Hebrews, even to its division into twelve parts. The head dress of the Herald, too with its gold disc in front satisfies the description of the miznefet as given in the Jewish Encyclopedia. "A tiara, or perhaps a peculiarly wound turban, with a peak, the front of which bore a gold plate with inscription "Holy unto YHWH". However, the division of the breast plate into twelve parts is certainly distinctive. So also is the head dress with gold disc in front.

PAGE 83, The ASHANTI Myth might thus record progressive stages in the manifestation of "Yahweh" (YHWH) to the Hebrews; the burning bush; Sinai and the Covenant, that established the Nation as God's Chosen People.

This is only a few of the many comparisons he found out that existed among just ONE of the tribes that we (in the west) are descendant from. It would be way to lengthy to include all the tribes of west Africa who have Hebrew culture.

Today all of Africa has been lumped into one, Meaning that "All black skinned people are of the same culture, customs, etc." So as a consequence all this Hebrewism has went unnoticed by the world at large. Most of the customs that are taught to us as being "Traditional" African culture are actually cultural traits that can be found right in the first five books of your Bible.

In the slave Narrative by Olaudah Equiano, He tells of how his native customs is parallel to the Hebrews customs found in the Bible,

He says:

"Like the Israelites in their primitive state, our government was conducted by our chiefs or Judges, our wisemen, and elders; and the head of a family, with, enjoyed a similar authority over his household with that which is ascribed to Abraham and the other patriarchs. The law of retaliation prevailed almost universally with us as with them; and even their religion appeared to have shed upon us a ray of its glory, though broken and spent in its passage. or eclipse by the cloud with which time , tradition, and ignorance might have enveloped it. For we had our circumcision ( a rite I believe, peculiar to that people) we had also our sacrifices and burnt-offerings, our washing and purification, on the same occasions as they had".

"I came at length to a country, the inhabitants of which differed from us in all these particulars. I was very much struck with this difference, especially when I came among a people who did not circumcise, AND WHO ATE WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS".
Olaudah Matthew 15:1-2,”Then came to Yahshuah scribes and Pharisees which were of Jerusalem, saying

(2) Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the Elders? FOR THEY WASH NOT THEIR HANDS WHEN THEY EAT BREAD.

In a article by William Levi Ochan Ajjugo who is a member of the Madi tribe in the country of Sudan. He tells of the Hebrew customs among his and other tribes in the Sudan:

"When most people think of Judaism in black Africa, they think of the so-called Falashas, Bet Israel, Ethiopian Jews who have kept the essentials of biblical Judaism despite being isolated geographically from other Jews for thousands of years.

The Falashas are in fact the tip of the iceberg. Judaism came to Africa long before Islam or even Christianity, itself an early arrival. Hebrews have been in Africa hundreds of years before the exodus from Egypt. So influential was ancient Judaism in northern and eastern Africa that anthropologists have devised a test to tell whether a given tribe or people has Hebraic roots: It does so if males are circumcised at age of 1 or earlier.

I am from South Sudan, the largely Christian, African portion of the Sudan, which has long been dominated by Arab Muslims to the north, in Khartoum. I am from a tribe called the Madi, and while we did not retain Judaism as thoroughly as did the Falashas in neighboring Ethiopia, I am amazed as I look back at how many of our customs seem to have come from the Hebrew Scriptures.

Among Christians and non- Christians like, one G-d was worshiped. As in the Book of Leviticus, blood sacrifices were offered for sins. The worst sins required the sacrifice of a sheep, the ones below these a Goat, and the "least" sins a chicken. A hereditary group of elders or priests decided which to sacrifice, and presided over these and other ceremonies.

Dietary laws were practiced; certain animals were "unclean" and could not be eaten. Ceremonial washing of hands was required when leaving home. Certain days of the year were set apart as holy. On such days, all was pledged to the one G-d of the heavens who forgave sins.

The Madi also use a ram's horn ("bilah") to call people together for various purposes. My father, who was an hereditary elder, would often blow the bilah to gather the people together for a ceremony or to discuss a matter of importance.

If a man died, his brother married his widow. This is in Leviticus, and also is imbedded in Madi culture, as is the "kinsman-redeemer" custom found in the Book of Ruth in connection with Boaz's marrying Ruth. In Ruth 4:7, it says that "in earlier times in Israel", the redemption and transfer of property became final when one party took off his sandal and gave it to the other. This is precisely what the Madi did when I was growing up.

In Deuteronomy 15:19, the children of Israel were commanded to set apart for the L-rd all first-born males of their herds and flocks. None were to be put to work or, in the case of sheep, shorn. Again, this is a Madi custom as well.

Many of these customs are also practiced by other tribes in the Sudan. One Madi custom, though, is most striking in its obvious implication: All males are circumcised -- as I was -- on the 8th day.

When I was growing up, I did not know that any of these were "Jewish" customs. It was only when I began studying the Bible that the connection became clear. Most tribes who practice these customs do not know what "Jewish" means; they only know that these are the ways of their own forefathers.

Christian missionaries have long misinterpreted these "ways", especially missionaries from denominations which de-emphasize the "Old" Testament. Many labeled groups like Madi "pagan", "animist", or, incredibly, "without religion."

Today, the Islamic fundamentalists who rule the Sudan use similar terms to describe the tribes of South Sudan, including the Madi. Unlike the Christian missionaries of the past, however, the Islamicists know better. On more than one occasion, I was called "Jew" in a disparaging way by Muslims when I was living in the Sudan.

The current Islamic regime in Sudan is waging a jihad -- a war of extermination -- against the people and tribes of South Sudan. Almost 3 million of my people have been butchered in a genocide that is worse than anything the world has seen since the Holocaust. Those who know of this under reported slaughter rightly see it as religious in nature -- a war of Islamic imperialism against largely Christian South Sudan. It is also a cultural war of Arab- dominated culture against African culture. And part and parcel of African culture -- at least in this area of Africa -- are the remnants of Judaism.

For those would like to see such remnants preserved, here is yet another reason to stand up for the brave people of South Sudan".

Those brothers and sisters in the Southern Sudan are Israelites, These Hebrews are still being taken captive and put into slavery in the Sudan, they are suffering the curses of Deuteronomy 28:

In another article By George E. Lichtblau entitled, "Jewish Roots in Africa", he gives a details about the Hebrews in west Africa:

"Claims of a historic presence of Jewish communities in certain regions of Africa, notably West and Southern Africa, seem esoteric when first mentioned. This presence goes back not just centuries, but even to biblical times.

Of course in two areas such a communal presence on the African continent remains a firmly acknowledged part of Jewish history and experience (North Africa and Egypt/Ethiopia). A Jewish presence in Egypt and the former Kingdom of Kush are described in the Book of Exodus. Yet even after their exodus from Egypt and their settlement in the land of Israel, the Jewish tribes retained certain nomadic characteristics which are reflected throughout their history.

For example, in the 10th and 9th centuries B.C.E. Kings David and Solomon sought to expand Jewish influence and trade throughout the Mediterranean, including North Africa, Egypt, the Arab Peninsula and the Horn of Africa, as well as Persia. Often such trade promotion and colonizing drives were arranged in cooperation with the Canaanite and the neighboring Kingdom of Tyre. These kingdoms often lent their military backing to these colonizing efforts, which led to the establishment of numerous settlements by Jewish artisans and traders throughout these regions.

But the subsequent scattering of a Jewish presence and influence reaching deep into the African continent is less widely acknowledged.

Pressed under sweeping regional conflicts, Jews settled as traders and warriors in Yemen, the Horn of Africa, Egypt, the Kingdom of Kush and Nubia, North African Punic settlements (Carthage and Velubilis), and areas now covered by Mauritania. More emigrants followed these early Jewish settlers to Northern Africa following the Assyrian conquest of the Israelites in the 8th century B.C.E., and again 200 years later, when Jerusalem was conquered by the Babylonians, leading to the destruction of the First Temple.

This catastrophic event not only drove many Jews into exile in Babylon, but also led to the establishment of exile communities around the Mediterranean, including North Africa. Then, with Israel coming under Greek, Persian and later Roman rule and dependence, renewed waves of Jewish traders and artisans began to set up communities in Egypt, Cyrenaica, Nubia and the Punic Empire, notably in Carthage, whence they began to scatter into various newly emerging communities south of the Atlas mountains. Several Jewish nomadic groups also started to come across the Sahara from Nubia and the ancient kingdom of Kush.

The Jewish presence in Africa began to expand significantly in the second and third centuries of the Christian era, extending not only into the Sahara desert, but also reaching down along the West African coast, and possibly also to some Bantu tribes of Southern Africa (where some 40,000 members of the Lemba tribe still claim Jewish roots). The names of old Jewish communities south of the Atlas mountains, many of which existed well into Renaissance times, can be found in documents in synagogue archives in Cairo.

In addition, Jewish, Arab and Christian accounts cite the existence of Jewish rulers of certain tribal groups and clans identifying themselves as Jewish scattered throughout Mauritania, Senegal, the Western Sudan, Nigeria, and Ghana. Among notable Arab historians referring to their existence are Ibn Khaldun, who lived in the 13th century, a respected authority on Berber history; the famous geographer al-Idrisi, born in Ceuta, Spain in the 12th century, who wrote about Jewish Negroes in the western Sudan; and the 16th century historian and traveler Leon Africanus, a Moslem from Spain who was raised by a Jewish woman working in his family's household, who is said to have taught him Hebrew and emigrated with the family to Morocco in 1492. Leon Africanus later converted to Catholicism but remained interested in Jewish communities he encountered throughout his travels in West Africa.

Some evidence can also be derived from surviving tribal traditions of some African ethnic groups, including links to biblical ancestors, names of localities, and ceremonies with affinities to Jewish ritual practices. Moreover, the writings of several modern West African historians and two personal anecdotes indicate that the memories of an influential Jewish historical past in West Africa continue to survive.

I still remember from my assignments in the 1960's as a Foreign Service Officer an encounter with Mr. Bubu Hama, then president of the National Assembly in Niger and a prolific writer on African history. He told me that the Tuaregs had a Jewish queen in early medieval times, and that some Jewish Tuareg clans had preserved their adherence to that faith, in defiance of both Islamic and Christian missionary pressure, until the 18th century. In several of his books Hama even cites some genealogies of Jewish rulers of the Tuareg and Hausa kingdoms.

A related story about surviving memories of Jewish roots in West Africa was told to me around 1976 by former Israeli prime minister Shimon Peres. He had just returned from a meeting of the Socialist International, during which he had met with then president Leopold Senhor of Senegal. In the course of their discussion about the possibility of normalizing Senegalese-Israeli relations, Senhor had told him that he too had Jewish ancestors. At that time we both smiled somewhat incredulously. Yet, indeed, there are a number of historical records of small Jewish kingdoms and tribal groups known as Beni Israel that were part of the Wolof and Mandinge communities.

These existed in Senegal from the early Middle Ages up to the 18th century, when they were forced to convert to Islam. Some of these claimed to be descendants of the tribe of Dan, the traditional tribe of Jewish gold and metal artisans, who are also said to have built the "Golden Calf".

Further Examination of the Haplogroups

Haplogroup J and the Jewish Cohen Modal Haplotype
By Ishaq Al-Sulaimani

DNA evidence does not support the claim that the Jewish people living in Israel are descendants of the ancient Israelites. On the contrary DNA evidence proves that the vast majority of Jewish people around the world are not Israelite by patrilineal descent meaning of the seed of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob.

Judaism is a religion comprised of numerous and various peoples of all races and ethnicities. Israelites are the descendants of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob. Israelites are scattered around the world and can be found practicing every religion. DNA testing has proven that Judaism is a religion as the Jewish people have tested positive for at least 8 distinct and unrelated lineages.

J1 is the only Semitic Haplogroup recognized by geneticists. It appears heavily in Ethiopia,Yemen and Arabia. It is also common amongst Bedouins. STR markers are used to specify lineages within a specific haplogroup. The Kohenim which are found within the Buba clan of the Lemba tribe of South Africa, the descendants of Muhammad (Ishmael) and the Solomonic Amhara of Ethiopia are all defined by specific STR
Markers within the J1 Haplogroup.

Only 4% of Jewish people around the world claim to be Kohen. DNA testing eliminated more than half of those claims. Meaning that less than 2% of Jewish people are actually of authentic Kohen descent.

Approximately 13% of the Jewish people have the J1 haplogroup. This means that almost 90% of the Jewish people are not Semitic or Israelite for that matter. The Israelite Amhara of Ethiopia have 10 times the amount of J1 than all of the Jewish
people combined. The Buba clan has a higher ratio of Kohenim in comparison to any Jewish community. Only the ancient Kurdish Jews have a ratio of Kohenim comparable to that of the Buba(Lemba).

Note: J2 is not Semitic but Phoenician, which was a mixture of Semitic and Hamitic.
Some Israelite STR markers were identified in J2 such as a limited amount of Kohenim.
However J2 is not Semitic and should not be confused or combined with J1. J2 is non-existent in Ethiopia.

Matrilineal Judaism which considers paternity irrelevant to Jewish status could not
possibly inherit that which was promised to the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Below is a DNA Site presented by an educated Jewish woman which clearly demonstrates the fact that the vast majority of Jewish people are not J1.

Page 4- J1 constitutes 14.6% of Ashkenazi results and 11.9% of Sephardic results

Editor's Note: For me this affirms Paul's statement of who and what a Jew is in Romans 2:28-29, "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." There is a spiritual DNA in the economy of God which asserts this about the seed of Abraham, "Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham." (Galatians 3:7) The propensity of human nature is to cause one to look upon the flesh for validation, when God on the other hand looks upon the spirit. And throughout history, there has only been one Israel, the Ekklesia, as pointed out in Gal. 6:15-16, "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God." (emphases added by the Editor.) It was even said of our father Abraham that "he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11:10) I also await the New Jerusalem as the Patriarchs. (Revelation 21:2)

Proclaiming the Hebrew-Jewish Messiahship of Jesus Christ

Tanach/Hebrew/Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled by
Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel

ALL of these prophesies were made hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years before Jesus Christ was born. Looking in the face of how He literally fulfilled them all (plus hundreds more), it is an impossibility that He is not Messiah, Saviour of the world. The ONLY person...past, present or future...who could fulfill all these prophecies is Jesus Christ. See His genealogy starting from faithful Abraham.
If you have questions about Jesus Christ, the Hebrew-Jewish Messiah prophesied in the Tanakh, please add a comment to this post and I will certainly respond to your inquiries.

The Black Hebrew-Israelites and Canaanites of Israel: History in Video

Editor's Note: This video further substantiates the assertion that so-called "African-Americans" are indeed Hebrews and Jews whose roots are centered in the land of Judea, the birthplace of Jesus Christ which was the original physical inheritance of "a people come out of Egypt," known as Hebrews or Israelites. (Numbers 22:11) Judea was initially called "Canaan," or "Eretz Cana," the land of Canaan.

The Unholy Secret Alliance Between Iran, Israel and United States

By Oguejiofo Annu

The Iranian Jewish community is one of the oldest in the world, claiming more than 4000 years of continuous presence in Iran. They counted more than 80,000 members before the Islamic revolution of 1979.

The biblical books of Isaiah, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Chronicles, and Esther contain some references to the experiences of Jews in Persia. Persians kings of the 5th century B.C. era are credited by biblical sources and scholars as having helped the Jewish re-construct the Solomonic temple after their return from Babylonian exile.

The present day Persia, known as Iran hosts the largest Jewish population of any Muslim-majority country. After Israel, it is home to the second-largest Jewish population in the Middle East. Jews are provided special protection in the Iranian constitution.

Conversely, Israel hosts the largest group of Iranian emigre Jews, second only to the United States. In 1993, Israel was home to 75,000 Iranian Jews, including second-generation Israelis.

The United States is home to approximately 100,000 Iranian Jews, who have settled especially in the Los Angeles area and Great Neck, New York. The 1979 Iranian Revolution drove most Jews out of Iran, forming one of the wealthiest waves of immigrants to ever come to the United States.

Some prominent Irani-Jews

Some prominent Irani-Jewish families still exist all over the world especially in south California where they form a formidable community of rich and influential business and media people.

Some Irani-Jewish families have only recently converted to Islam and can still be counted among the leading lights of the Islamic world.

One of the very prominent and highly visible Jewish Iranian descendants of our time was Dan Halutz. Dan Halutz born August 7, 1948 in Tel Aviv, Israel was an Israeli Air Force Lt. General and former Israeli Air Force commander.

Halutz was later appointed as Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces on June 1, 2005. he led the unpopular and unsuccessful war against Shiite Lebanese in the spring of 2006. On January 17, 2007 he announced his resignation.

Dan Halutz was born to an Iranian Mizrahi Jewish family which had migrated to Palestine from Iran just after the formation of the state of Israel.

He is one of the many hundereds of prominent and privileged Jews who bear heritage in Iran and Iraq.

It recently surfaced that Ahmadinejad the current Prsident of Iran, anti-semite par-excellence is actually from an Iranian jewish family by the name of Sabourijian.

Sabourijian is an Iranian jewish name which means “the jewish tailor”. The “jian” at the end of the name implies that the family was a pious and practicing jewish family.

Ahmadinejad originally named Sourbrijian hails from a rural village in Iran. He has never denied that his family changed its original name athough that name has never been publicly disclosed until this month.

Israeli/Iranian War: Iran-Contra Affair

Given the close connection between the members of the Israeli and Iranian elites one wonders what is up with all the sword rattling between those two states these days.

One must not forget the role played by Israel in supplying weapons of mass destruction to Iran in the hey-days of the Iran-contra scandal.

Iran-contra scandal was a network run by Ronald Reagan’s white house administration through the CIA. It supplied hard drugs like crack, cocaine and heroine to the American markets, mostly in the large city hubs of Los Angeles, Florida, Atlanta and New York. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran%E2%80%93Contra_affair

This happened in the late 1980s.

The money from the CIA drug scheme was used to pay the Israelis to supply weapons of mass destruction to Iran (which was supposedly under an arms embargo for non-cooperation with the western world). The Iranians paid for the weapons and the profit from that sale was then used to resupply weapons to the Contra rebels of Nicaraguay to destabilize their leftist-leaning government which the United States elites hated rabidly.

Nicaraguay was coveted by the elites of the United States as a republic that would contain their vast endless banana plantation. The Nicaraguan people were to serve as banana plantation labourers/share croppers. But then the left leaning Sandinistas sought to move their country away from such wicked polices and thus incurred the hate of the U.S. government.

Israeli secret agents brokered the entire deal.

When it was busted, it was such an international scandal that would have destroyed the fabric of international morality or whatever was left of it. One Colonel Oliver North was offered as the scape goat for the entire mess. He got pinned with the blame and deflected attention from the role played by his masters.

The Iran Contra affair occurred at a time when United States and Iran were ostensibly on the path to war in 1986. Iran was in the midst of war with Iraq and was accussing United States publicly of undue interference.

There were exchanges of gunfire between the navies of the two country and it was even alleged that a United States warship shot down an Iranian airline civilian plane over Iranian air space under the mistaken assumption that it was under attack. More than 286 passengers perished in that incident.

In the meantime, Reagan and Ayattolah Komehini were the best of friends. Oliver North, front man for the international secrets rulers of the world was helping Iranian war efforts against an American backed Iraqi war machine.

Oil prices kept on climbing. Rich got richer and the rest starved. Diseases and pestilence grew in degrees. Yet the sons and daughters of humanity were endlessly distracted by all manners of soap operas including new reality shows, political shows, international news, war movies and war stories.

So when you hear about wars and rumours of war between the unholy friends known as United States, Iran, and Israel, pay no mind, for it is indeed another great deception between allies who have collaborated for hundreds and thousands of years if we can stretch our imaginations.

The Yorubas and other Canaanite/Israelites of Nigeria

By Jide Uwechia

Yorubas and the neighbouring nationalities located in Nigeria have this oral tradition of an origin extraneous to West Africa.

Hugh Clapperton in 1820s reported a work by Sultan Bello, the Caliph of the Sokoto Caliphate, where he asserted that the Yorubas were descended from Canaanite tribe from Palestine.

Around the 1880s Samuel Johnson a Yoruba christian also wrote a book that made similar claims for Yoruba origins as Sultan Bello’s. In 1880, Johson naively sent this work to the Church Missionary Society in England for review and publication.

The Church Missionary Society suppressed the manuscript upon realizing the explosive information it contained. The Society declared the book lost. It was not until 1923 that Johson’s brother was able to publish an edited copy of this work. Johnson’s thesis was that the Yorubas were descended from Lamurudu (Nimrod) the first King of Mesopotamia. Johnson died in 1901.

1955 S.O. Obiaku, a Nigerian historian and scholar claimed a Meroite origin (Sudan/ancient Ethiopia-Kush) for the Yorubas. Emmanuel Uguhulu another respected Nigerian scholar claimed a Hebrew origin for the Esan tribe. Esan is part of the greater Edo nation, which is related to the Yoruba nation of Nigeria.

Efik traditions claim that the Efiks originated in Palestine, crossed the Sahara and arrived Nigeria via Sudan. The Efiks are located in the south-eastern corner of Nigeria.

Iberian Jews of Yoruba Nationality

The Bnai Ephraim (”Children of Ephraim”) from Nigeria, live among the Yoruba nationalities. Their oral history tells that the Bnai Ephraim people came from Morocco after the Jews were banished from the Iberian Pennisula sometime after 1492.

They speak a dialect that is a mixture of Moroccan Arabic, Yoruba, and Aramaic. They are known by the Yoruba people as the “Emo Yo Quaim”, or “strange people”. Unlike other African Israelite communities in Nigeria, the Bnai Ephraim have the Torah, portions of which they keep in their sanctuaries.

The name Lagos borne by the former capital of Nigeria is a Portugese/Iberian name meaning the lake. Lagos is an Island carved up by lagoons, swamps and lakes. Its traditional Nigerian name is Eko.

Thousands of black refugee Jews of Iberia re-settled in the environs of Lagos and Porto Novo (as well as in Cape Verde, Guinea Buissa, and in Sao Tome either as slaves or outlaws). Some groups eventually made it deeper inland and became assimilated into one nationality or the other.

The Bnai Ephraim provides a living and irrefutable proof of this barely known history of mass Jewish re-settlement in West Africa, between 1492 and 1692, a 200 year non-stop return of Jews to Africa. This set of Moorish refugees are not to be confused with more ancient Hebrew and Canaanite tribes that had been living in Nigeria and other African countries for thousands of years. The Black Jew series on Rasta Livewire deals with the relatively more ancient Hebrews of Africa.

The Bnai Ephraim did not settle with the Yorubas by accident or chance. They recalled that a body of their people had depart Canaan in the ancient times and had settled in the present day Yoruba areas of Nigeria, just like their own group – Bnai Ephraim – had settled in Iberia (Spain and Portugal).

So, when it happened they had to leave Iberia in a hurry to protect their lives and freedom, those Moorish Iberian Jews sailed on their network of ships to Nigeria Africa, near Lagos amongst the Yorubas, their relation by blood, their greater nationality.

Other series on this website will continue to explore the foot-tracks of the Hebrew Israelites of Africa whose stories barely get told. Now, they shall not only be heard, they shall also be seen.

Awake ye ancient Moorish Hebrews of Africa, awake! You have nothing to lose but your ignorance and weakness. The earth is your inheritance and rightful legacy. The truth lies in your history, hidden until these times…

The Black Jewish Tribes of Africa

Editor's note: Strong Biblical, historical, and scientific evidence is presented in this article to support the authenticity and legitimacy of Black Hebrews and Jews.

by Jide Uwechia

Tacitus, Ethiopians and Black St. Paul

Roman historian Tacitus wrote that many of his time believed that the Jews “were a race of Ethiopian origin.”

The Bible classifies the Ethiopians & Jews together, “Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord.” (Amos 9:7)

Black Paul is mistaken for an “Egyptian” and declares himself to be a “Jew.” (Acts 21:37-39, 22: 2,3)

Persia and Ashanti

It has also been speculated that the Jewish presence and influence was greatly helped by the ancient gold trade between Persia and Africa.
Jews were the main intermediaries of this trade in the medieval ages since most Muslims (due to Islamic laws prohibition on usury) were wary of its usurious dimensions.

These Jewish itinerant traders came to rely on contacts with the various Jewish communities of West African who proved no mean help in sourcing the scarce commodity. Thus, for instance, the silk of the Royal Kente cloths of the Ashanti reputedly came from China.

Various historical accounts claim that Jewish travelers from Persia had organized exchanges of Chinese silk for gold in the Kingdom of Ghana; the Ashanti needed the silk for weaving Kente cloth and the Jews need gold for their intrinsic and fiscal value. It is said that the Ashanti words for numbers relate to those in Parsi, the language of Persia. See Lichtblau.

Genetics

Haplogroup E3B
The E3b haplogroup has been observed in all Jewish groups world wide. It is considered to be the 2nd most prevelent haplogroup amoung the Jewish population.
All the major studies agree that E-M35 is the second highest in prevalence next to J, for “Founding Jewish Lineages.”
http://www.familytreedna.com/pdf/Behar_contrasting.pdf.

It is found in moderate amounts in all Jewish populations, from Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Kurdish, Yemen, Samaritan and even among Djerba Jewish groups.
The scientific consensus is that Haplogroup E3b (M35) appears to have originated in East Africa, but has been carried from there to the Near East and then on to North Africa and Europe. Today it is most common in East Africa, North Africa, the Near East and around the Mediterranean.

Haplogroup J
Haplogroup J (previously known as HG9 or Eu9/Eu10) is a Y-chromosome DNA haplogroup. t is subdivided into two subclades: haplogroup J2, defined by the M172 marker, and haplogroup J1, defined by the M267 marker.

Of special interest are maps that show the geographical spread of the J haplogroup. J1 and J2 are both common in southern Europe, central Europe, the Mediterranean region, and Africa. The J haplogroup is considered to be a signature gene of Jewish ancestry and the cohen modal gene happens to be a subgroup of J.

In fact, the highest frequencies of J1 (M267) are seen in the Middle East, north Africa, and Ethiopia. See (Thomas et al. 1999). J2 (M172) also exists in significant proportions across Africa especially among the semitic speaking peoples of Tigriniya, Amhara, and Oromiya.

The J1’s from the Middle East and North Africa seem to be distinguishable from the rest of J’s by having YCAII=22,22. Behar et al found that a significant proportion of the Jewish population of Europe (more than 20%) carry the J1 haplogroup. The other 20% carry the J2 haplogroup. See Behar et al Hum Genet (2004) 114 : 354–365

Cohen Modal Haplotype
The presence among the Lemba of a disproportionate number of men carrying a particular polymorphism on the Y chromosome known as the Cohen modal haplotype suggests an ancestral link to the Jewish population. One sub-clan within the Lemba, the Buba clan, is considered by the Lemba to be their priestly clan. Among a small sample of the Buba, fifty-two percent of males were found to carry the Cohen modal haplotype CMH, which is generally suggestive of Y-DNA haplogroup J, but notably prevalent among Jewish Kohanim, or priests.

Decline of the Black Jews of Africa

Many reasons have been sought for the decline and virtual disappearance of Africa’s once thriviing Jewish communities of black Jews. Many see the beginning of this decline as contemporaneous with the advent of the Islamic religion in Africa.
Some historical accounts highlight the fact that black Jews were die-hard nationalistic traditionalists and had led the black African resistance against the influx of the black muslim jihadists and their new interpretation of morality. The most notableof these black Jewish nationalists was Queen Kahina Dahiya Bint Thabitah ibn Tifan otherwise known as El-Kahina. A descendant of one of the priestly Black Jewish families of North Africa, Kahina led the nationalist resistance against the muslim invasion until her defeat at the hands of Hassan Ibn Numan. See Margolis, “History of Jewish people”, 1927 pages 278-279. See also Remy Ilona, “The Igbos : Jews in Africa?” volume 1, Research Findings Historical Links, Commentaries, Narratives,” 2004, Mega Press Limited, Abuja, Nigeria.

Amidst this tumult, the Jews of Northern and West Africa were given a choice of conversion or emigration. Many left for the deeper forest recesses of West Africa seeking the peace and tranquility that appeared to elude them in each generation. The late incursions by the colonialist christian elements of Europe did not make matters any better. There seems to have been a direct link between the incursion of relatively modern religions in Africa and the decline of the ancient practise of the Hebrews which had a pride of place in Africa, its mother land.

For instance the Jewish enclaves of Qamnurya or Naghira in the area of modern Senegal was destroyed completely in the wake of sectarian unrest. Similarly, Al-Maghili a prominent black Muslim noble not only destroyed the Jewish enclaves of Tuat in the old Mali empire, he convinced other potentates throughout the Western Sudan to banish Jews from the empire’s cities. See Remy Ilona, supra.

Lichtblau speculates that: although “…Jewish presence is also confirmed by numerous surviving accounts of Portuguese and other European visitors in the 14th and 15th centuries, as well as North African and Arab historical records… gradually most of these communities disappeared. Since they existed largely in isolation, there was a good deal of intermarriage which for a while reinforced their influence and expansion. As a result they were increasingly viewed as a threat by Muslim rulers, and most of the Jewish communities and nomad groups south of the Atlas mountains were either forced to convert to Islam or massacred; the remainder fled to North Africa, Egypt or the Sudan, and a few also to Cameroon and Southern Africa.”

Revisiting the Hidden Khazarian Identity

Khazar warrior with captive.

Editor's Note: Are these Jews really Jews? I venture to say they are Khazars. The European Jew is a Jew by conversion with no direct linkage to the patriarchs, prophets or Jesus Christ.

Here is what the authoritative academic and Jewish sources have to say:

Encyclopedia Americana (1985): "Khazar, an ancient Turkic-speaking people who ruled a large and powerful state in the steppes North of the Caucasus Mountains from the 7th century to their demise in the mid-11th century A.D. . . In the 8th Century it's political and religious head . . . as well as the greater part of the Khazar nobility, abandoned paganism and converted to Judaism. . ."

Encyclopedia Britannica (15th edition): "Khazars, confederation of Turkic and Iranian tribes that established a major commercial empire in the second half of the 6th century, covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia . . . In the middle of the 8th century the ruling classes adopted Judaism as their religion."

Academic American Encyclopedia (1985): "Ashkenazim, the Ashkenazim are one of the two major divisions of the Jews, the other being the Shephardim."

Encyclopedia Americana (1985): "Ashkenazim, the Ashkenazim are the Jews whose ancestors lived in German lands . . . it was among Ashkenazi Jews that the idea of political Zionism emerged, leading ultimately to the establishment of the state of Israel . . . In the late 1960s, Ashkenazi Jews numbered some 11 million, about 84 percent of the world Jewish population."

The Jewish Encyclopedia: "Khazars, a non-Semitic, Asiatic, Mongolian tribal nation who emigrated into Eastern Europe about the first century, who were converted as an entire nation to Judaism in the seventh century by the expanding Russian nation which absorbed the entire Khazar population, and who account for the presence in Eastern Europe of the great numbers of Yiddish-speaking Jews in Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Galatia, Besserabia and Rumania."

The Encyclopedia Judaica (1972): "Khazars, a national group of general Turkic type, independent and sovereign in Eastern Europe between the seventh and tenth centuries C.E. during part of this time the leading Khazars professed Judaism . . . In spite of the negligible information of an archaeological nature, the presence of Jewish groups and the impact of Jewish ideas in Eastern Europe are considerable during the Middle Ages. Groups have been mentioned as migrating to Central Europe from the East often have been referred to as Khazars, thus making it impossible to overlook the possibility that they originated from within the former Khazar Empire."

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia: "Khazars, a medieval people, probably related to the Volga Bulgars, whose ruling class adopted Judaism during the 8th cent. The Khazars seem to have emerged during the 6th cent., from the vast nomadic Hun (Turki) empire which stretched from the steppes of Eastern Europe and the Volga basin to the Chinese frontier. Although it is often claimed that allusions to the Khazars are found as early as 200 C.E., actually they are not mentioned until 627 . . . most Jewish historians date the conversion of the Khazar King to Judaism during the first half of this century [A.D.]. . ."

The primary meaning of Ashkenaz and Ashkenazim in Hebrew is Germany and Germans. This may be due to the fact that the home of the ancient ancestors of the Germans is Media, which is the Biblical Ashkenaz . . . Krauss is of the opinion that in the early medieval ages the Khazars were sometimes referred to as Ashkenazim . . . About 92 percent of all Jews or approximately 14,500,000 are Ashkenazim.

The Bible relates that the Khazars (Ashkenaz) Jews were/are the sons of Japheth not Shem: "Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. The sons of Japheth; . . . the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz . . ." So the Bible verifies that the Ashkenaz Jews [Khazars] are not the descendants of Shem and cannot be Semitic.

The American People's Encyclopedia for 1954 at 15-292 records the following in reference to the Khazars: "In the year 740 A.D. the Khazars were officially converted to Judaism. A century later they were crushed by the incoming Slavic-speaking people and were scattered over central Europe where they were known as Jews. It is from this grouping that most German, Polish and Hungarian Jews are descended, and they likewise make up a considerable part of that population now found in America. The term Aschenazim is applied to this round-headed, dark-complexioned division."

Academic American Encyclopedia Deluxe Library Edition, Volume 12, page 66 states: "The Khazars, a turkic people, created a commercial and political empire that dominated substantial parts of South Russia during much of the 7th through 10th centuries. During the 8th century the Khazar Aristocracy and the Kagan (King) were converted to Judaism."

The New Encyclopedia Britannica, Volume 6, page 836 relates: "Khazar, member of a confederation of Turkic-speaking tribes that in the late 6th century A.D. established a major commercial empire covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia . . . but the most striking characteristic of the Khazars was the apparent adoption of Judaism by the Khagan and the greater part of the ruling class in about 740 . . . The fact itself, however, is undisputed and unparalleled in the history of Central Eurasia. A few scholars have asserted that the Judaized Khazars were the remote ancestors of many of the Jews of Eastern Europe and Russia."

Collier's Encyclopedia, Volume 14, page 65 states: "Khazars [kaza'rz], a semi-nomadic tribe of Turkish or Tatar origin who first appeared north of the Caucasus in the early part of the third century . . . In the eighth century Khaghan Bulan decided in favor of the Jews and accepted Judaism for himself and for his people..."

New Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume VIII, page 173 relates: "The Khazars were an ethnic group, belonging to the Turkish peoples, who, toward the end of the 2d century of the Christian Era, had settled in the region between the Caucasus and the lower Volga and Don Rivers . . . At the beginning of the 8th century, dynastic ties bound the Khazars more closely to Constantinople, which led to a limited spread of Christianity among them. They also became acquainted with Judaism from the numerous Jews who lived in the Crimea and along the Bosphorus. When the Byzantine Emperor, Leo the Isaurian, persecuted the Jews in A.D. 723, many Jews found refuge in the Khazar kingdom, and their influence was so great that, around the middle of the 8th century, the King of the Khazars and many of the Khazar nobility accepted the Jewish faith."

The Cadillac Modern Encyclopedia, page 822, states: "Khazars (khah'-zahrz), a S Russian people of Turkic origin, who at the height of their power (during the 8th-10th cent., A.D.) controlled an empire which included Crimea, and extended along the lower Volga, as far E as the Caspian Sea. The Khazar Royal Family and Aristocracy converted to Judaism during the reign of King Bulan (768-809 A.D.) and Judaism was thereafter regarded as the state religion . . ."

In The Outline of History, H. G. Wells states, “It is highly probable that the bulk of the Jew’s ancestors ‘never’ lived in Palestine ‘at all,’ which witnesses the power of historical assertion over fact.”

Under the heading of “A brief History of the Terms for Jew” in the 1980 Jewish Almanac is the following: “Strictly speaking it is incorrect to call an Ancient Israelite a ‘Jew’ or to call a contemporary Jew an Israelite or a Hebrew.” (1980 Jewish Almanac, p. 3).

There are many, many publications we could quote but from the above, we can clearly see that the Jews fully understand their Khazarian heritage as the third edition of The Jewish Encyclopedia for 1925 records: "CHAZARS [Khazars]: A people of Turkish origin whose life and history are interwoven with the very beginnings of the history of the Jews of Russia. The kingdom of the Chazars was firmly established in most of South Russia long before the foundation of the Russian monarchy by the Varangians (855). Jews have lived on the shores of the Black and Caspian seas since the first centuries of the common era [after the death of Christ]. Historical evidence points to the region of the Ural as the home of the Chazars. Among the classical writers of the Middle Ages they were known as the 'Chozars,' 'Khazirs,' 'Akatzirs,' and 'Akatirs,' and in the Russian chronicles as 'Khwalisses' and 'Ugry Byelyye.'. . ."

How the Talmud can be a road map to peace (?)

Could Bibi Netanyhau and Mahmoud Abbas (right), with Barack Obama at the UN in September, benefit from a Talmud class?

Editor's Note: Are these people crazy or what?!?!

by Daniel Reisel

‘Two are holding a garment,” begins the Talmud in tractate Baba Metzia. Each claims they found it. “One says, kulo sheli — all of it belongs to me. The other says, kulo sheli — all of it belongs to me.”

The first chapter of Baba Metzia presents a well-known scenario. Two people claim an object. The nature of the dispute is such that the original ownership cannot be established. Both claims are emotional, exclusive and absolute.

Convene a court, says the Talmud, and let each party swear an oath. Following the swearing of the oath, the garment should be sold and the proceeds from the sale divided equally. But what is the content of the oath? One might have expected the court to require each side to swear that they own the whole garment. After all, that is what they have already stated. The Talmud rejects this as it would mean that at least one of them would utter a shvuah sheker, a false oath.

On the other hand, one might have expected each party, in the spirit of compromise, to swear that they own half the garment, the half currently in their possession. The Talmud rejects this solution too, on the grounds of mara lei lediburei , it would render their earlier statement a lie. Instead, the Talmud offers a striking formulation. Each party should swear they own lo pachot mi-chetziah, not less than half of it.

What is the difference between “half” and “not less than half”? In terms of the final outcome, the two formulations are virtually identical. In the end, both accept that the value of the garment will be divided equally between them. Emotionally, however, there is a world of difference. The Talmud’s solution allows each side to start the journey down from their absolute positions without denying their narrative. This enables them to keep their integrity and enter into dialogue without feeling defeated.

The formulation of “not less than half” is effective because it creates an imaginary space. It is imaginary because it is, in effect, the same “space” used twice. Both sides feel they have been granted more than their actual share. And they have: their story has been heard. The beauty of the Talmud’s move is that it realises that the dispute is not merely about the garment; it is about everything the disputed object represents. It is about everything that has been invested in the idea of the whole, and thus the pain of losing it.

The resolution of conflict doesn’t mean the end of the dialogue. The two sides will always inhabit the imaginary room together. Their dream of the whole will never leave them and this is something they will always have in common.

As suggested by Jeremy Haber in the Magnes Zionist blog, the Talmud’s approach could provide a precedent for solving the Arab-Israeli conflict. Two nations claim a land. One says, all of it belongs to me. The other says, all of it belongs to me. Each has their story. Each holds on to their side, unwilling to let go.

The Talmud teaches that the first task of an external arbiter is to engage the parties in unconditional dialogue. Open, respectful conversation is more likely to produce results than delegitimisation and denial. Humility cannot be enforced through humiliation. On the contrary, for it to work, such a process must accept the historical and religious ties of each side to the land. Neither side should be expected to give up their emotional connection to the whole. Neither side should be required to utter falsehoods.

At the same time, for the dialogue to be effective, each party has to start the journey down from their absolute positions. Each side needs to accept that although they have a just claim to the whole, reality demands a fair solution. Rather than requiring each party to renounce their narrative, the Talmud counsels each side to state unequivocally: “I don’t own less than half of this land.” Only then can the painstaking process of division commence.

We need leaders, both political and religious, who have the courage to lead us on this complex journey. If it proves too costly for them, as it did for Yitzhak Rabin, then other actors on the ground need to create the conditions for dialogue.

In this process, we need to take more pride in our heritage, not less. We should never be required to give up the dream of the whole. Yet we must realise that to want the dream exclusively for ourselves will transform it into our worst nightmare. We need to hold fast to our side of the garment. But we need to realise that ours is the many times promised land. There are others who hold fast to it as well. And it is time we made space for their narrative, too.

In 1956, eight years after the miracle of Israel’s founding, David Ben Gurion said: “In Israel, anyone who doesn’t believe in miracles is not a realist.” In the arduous task of securing Israel’s future, we need to preserve our faith in our ability to work miracles. For this, the Talmud offers us a timeless template.

Jewish IQ drop continues, thanks to Israel lobby

by Philip Weiss

Continuing to provide a shelter to neocons, The Washington Post publishes a foolish piece of disinformation by Gary Wasserman saying that there is no such thing as the Israel lobby, and that American Jews don’t feel loyalty to Israel. The author argues that the government’s case against the AIPAC lobbyists, now dropped, reflected anti-Semitism. And the Israel lobby– which the Post continues to fail to describe to its readers honestly (I’m sure they’re bashing the health insurers as a powerful lobby this week)– is a conspiracy theory.

Wasserman’s argument is precisely reminiscent of the claim by Communists and their sympathizers that the federal cases against various Communists in the 30s-50s were baseless. It represents ideological blindness.

After years and millions of dollars spent investigating the nefarious "Israel Lobby," the case produced no stolen secrets, no money changing hands, no covert meetings, no high-level, dual-loyal officials, no harm to the national interest and no spies. Pardon me, but where’s the corned beef?

If a powerful lobby threatens national security, shouldn’t the patriotic supporters of that organization be informed of the evidence? Or if government officials have allowed prejudice to covertly victimize innocent people shouldn’t that behavior be made transparent? Or, if an important ally is using ethnic ties to turn supporters into spies, shouldn’t the public know?

Of course the case hasn’t been all bad for conspirators. The same year AIPAC fired its lobbyists, it used the troubles to raise a record $45 million. And having opponents exaggerate a lobby’s power ends up enhancing that power.

Both the FBI and AIPAC have to be pleased to see this case go away; one to conceal mistakes and biases, the other to hide weakness and disloyalty to its own.

I like that last phrase. Disloyalty to its own? What does that mean?

Disloyalty to who? To AIPAC? Rosen was passing along supposed information about an Iranian threat to the Israelis. Wasn’t he being perfectly loyal?

Oh, apparently my IQ has dropped already; Mark explains it to me:

the obvious meaning is "disloyalty to Rosen and the other guy, whats-his-name." AIPAC, in a legal sense, abandoned Rosen and what’s-his-name, and Wasserman sees that as "disloyalty." Rosen and what’s-his-name, of course, were loyal to AIPAC, including in his actions in passing info to Israel–that’s what AIPAC pretty much paid them to do. Therefore, Wasserman says AIPAC was disloyal in failing to support them legally and financially when they got in trouble for doing what AIPAC wanted and paid them to do. AIPAC, of course, saw the issue as one of survival for AIPAC, thus, better that one (or two) should be tossed overboard than that the whole org should perish. In a manner of speaking.
